Australian Wildlife Protection Council - Kangaroo Myths and Realities

In Australia, wild kangaroos are hunted for their meat which is then sold to local and international markets and the commercial kangaroo meat industry is estimated to be worth approximately $70 million a year to Australia. 

In 2011, Fair Projects produced this video, which investigates the hygiene standards of kangaroo meat, documenting the investigation undertaken by Animal Liberation New South Wales that resulted in Australia's biggest Kangaroo meat export partner, Russia, banning the import of kangaroo meat into their country.
