Wildlife Defence League - Operation Great Bear

In late 2014, Fair Projects worked in the field with Wildlife Defence League to produce the media for their first ever campaign; Operation Great Bear. Operation Great Bear set out to defend wildlife from the annual, senseless slaughter known as the British Columbia trophy hunt.

In Solidarity with the Klabona Keepers and the crew from Beyond Boarding, The Wildlife Defence League blockaded the only road leading into a wilderness area called the Sacred Headwaters which was home to animals such as Moose, Caribou and Bears.

The volunteer crew maintained the blockade for the entire hunting season and prevented visiting hunters from entering, ensuring that no wildlife in that area was killed for trophy during the 2014 hunting season.
